When executives come to me

You may be…

01

The next chapter

Considering what you want the next stage of your executive career to create.

02

An opportunity that looks good, but needs a closer read

A larger role, internal move, or board seat is on the table, and the question is what it would actually add to the position you already hold.

03

Your authority is changing

You are carrying more responsibility, losing access, gaining scope, or realizing that the role on paper no longer matches the position you actually hold.

04

Being considered for something larger

Navigating an executive interview, succession process, or other selection decision where the question is whether others can see the level you are ready to own.

05

Whether staying is still adding something

Deciding whether remaining where you are is still building on what you have, or quietly spending it.

06

A new role

Stepping into a new executive role and determining how to establish your authority and mandate early.

07

Organizational change

Navigating a reorganization, new leadership, changing priorities, or another development that could affect your role and options.

08

What your reputation is producing

Evaluating whether what you are known for still reflects the executive you are today and the responsibilities you want next.

09

Beyond your current path

Exploring how your experience could translate into a different company, industry, boardroom, advisory role, or next chapter.

The situation may differ. The underlying question is often the same:

How should what I have already built translate into what comes next?

This is for you if...

  • -You have several connected decisions or questions you want to work through over the next 90 days.
  • -You are thinking deliberately about what the next stage of your career or leadership should build.
  • -Something about your authority, role, reputation, or position inside the organization needs a closer look.
  • -You are weighing an opportunity, organizational change, or future direction and want an experienced outside perspective involved in the thinking.

Probably not for you if...

  • -You want traditional coaching focused on skills, habits, or confidence.
  • -You are looking for someone to manage a job search or rewrite your résumé.
  • -You are primarily looking for motivation, accountability, or general career coaching rather than substantive strategic advisory.

How this works

90 days of focused private advisory

We work together over 90 days through private working sessions and support between them.

You may come with a decision already in front of you, or with a larger set of questions you want to work through deliberately before the next decision arrives.

The engagement is built around what matters most during that period. We may examine the direction of your career, the position you currently hold inside the organization, opportunities you are considering, how your reputation is affecting what comes toward you, or decisions you want to make before circumstances make them for you.

The work gives us enough time to go beyond answering one question and look at how the pieces fit together.

Alicia Perkins in conversation with a senior leader

Why my perspective is different

I saw how executive decisions get made behind closed doors.

More than 15 years in recruiting, executive placement, and talent management gave me a close view of how leaders are discussed, evaluated, selected, promoted, and underestimated.

Since then, I have advised more than 400 leaders on how their experience is understood, what authority and opportunity it is producing, and how to evaluate what their current position should make possible next.

Apply

Private Executive Advisory is a 90-day engagement period.

Investments typically range from $7,500 to $10,000, depending on the scope of the work.

Tell me what you are working through, what you want to think through over the next 90 days, and why outside perspective would be valuable now. I review each application personally. If Private Executive Advisory looks like the right fit, we will schedule a brief conversation before moving forward. If I believe your situation would be better served through a more focused engagement, I may recommend that instead.
