Executive Role Advisory
You are staying in the role. You want to operate differently inside it.
Private executive advisory for senior leaders navigating the decisions, expectations, relationships, and organizational dynamics shaping how they operate in their current role.
You may have no intention of leaving. The role may still be right. But something about the way you are operating inside it needs more attention.
Your scope has expanded and your authority has not fully caught up. You received feedback that is difficult to translate into action. A new leader has changed how decisions are made. You are being asked to operate at a higher level without much clarity about what that means in practice. Or you simply want an experienced advisor who can look at the situation with you while you are in it.

What we actually work on
The role is already happening. We work with what is happening inside it.
This advisory is built around the real situations developing in your work.
That may include:
- —How your boss and other senior leaders are experiencing you
- —Feedback that needs to be interpreted and translated into specific changes
- —Decisions where the answer is unclear
- —Responsibility that has expanded faster than your authority
- —Difficult stakeholder or leadership dynamics
- —Conversations where you need to establish a clearer position
- —A new boss, reorganization, or shift in leadership expectations
- —Where you need to become more visible or involved earlier
- —What people currently trust you to own and what needs to change
- —Opportunities to strengthen your position without changing roles
We determine what deserves your attention, what the situation is actually asking of you, and how you want to respond.
Four areas. One role.
Judgment, authority, position, and navigation.
01
Judgment
Strengthen how you approach decisions when the information is incomplete, the stakes are higher, or other senior leaders see the situation differently. We look at how you define the problem, what deserves weight, the tradeoffs involved, and how you communicate the call.
02
Authority
Look closely at what you are responsible for, what you are actually empowered to decide, and where your authority needs to become clearer. That can include decision rights, involvement earlier in the work, senior-level access, ownership, and how other leaders use your judgment.
03
Position
Understand what the organization is currently learning about you through the role. We look at the work your name is associated with, what people repeatedly come to you for, where your reputation may be narrowing, and what evidence would strengthen the position you want inside the organization.
04
Navigation
Work through the organizational situations that can rarely be solved by a generic leadership framework. A new boss. A difficult peer. A vague review. A high-stakes meeting. An expanded mandate. A disagreement with senior leadership. A reorganization. A conversation about scope. We read what is happening and determine how you want to move through it.
What the engagement looks like
Advisory that moves with the role.
Initial Executive Role Review | 90 minutes
We establish the baseline: what is happening in the role, how you are currently positioned, the expectations around you, and the areas that deserve the most attention from here.
Four private advisory sessions
These are used around the work that matters most as the engagement develops. They do not need to become weekly status calls.
Private advisory access throughout
Between sessions, you have direct access through Voxer for questions, new developments, decisions, important conversations, feedback, and situations you want another experienced perspective on.
Closing Strategy Review | 60 minutes
At the end of the engagement, we look at what changed, what still needs attention, and what you want to strengthen next.
What you leave with
A stronger way of operating in the role you already have.
By the end of the engagement, you should have much greater clarity around:
- —What your role actually requires from you at this level.
- —Where your judgment needs to become more visible and usable.
- —What you should clearly own and where your authority needs to strengthen.
- —How your current reputation is affecting the way people involve and rely on you.
- —How to handle the organizational situations that have been taking too much of your attention.
- —What you want the next stage of this role to produce for your authority, reputation, and future options.
This is working advisory.
You bring the actual situation. A conversation with your CEO next week. Feedback you received yesterday. A decision you cannot quite get settled. A stakeholder relationship that has changed. A new responsibility you are trying to understand. A meeting where you know you need to show up differently.
We work on the situation while it is live. The purpose is to help you operate with stronger judgment and authority inside the role you already have and make deliberate decisions about the position you are building while you are there.
