Client Perspectives
“Alicia helped me look beyond the job description, identify the underlying challenges the organization was trying to solve, and clearly connect my experience to those needs. After our session, I entered the final interview with greater clarity and confidence, prepared to position myself not simply as an experienced director, but as an effective senior leader and I ultimately secured the role.”
“I needed Alicia’s services in preparation for an interview. She helped me frame my industry experience and value in ways I couldn’t. I left with the ability to articulate my worth.”
“Together, we got crystal clear on my positioning and the specific value I bring to organizations. I appreciated Alicia’s structured, methodical approach and left with clear, tangible takeaways. I went on to land an amazing role!”
Every engagement examines one central question:
What does your experience give an organization reason to trust you to lead next?
We work through four stages to establish that answer and prepare you to communicate it.
Senior titles can represent very different jobs. We examine the responsibilities, decision authority, organizational scope, and business conditions you want in your next role.
We also consider which parts of your experience transfer to a different organization and where a move would require you to demonstrate readiness for something new.
For an active search, this establishes which opportunities deserve your attention. For an upcoming interview, it focuses the preparation on the particular role.
You leave this stage with: Target-role criteria and a clear account of what your candidacy needs to demonstrate.

About
Work with Alicia Perkins
Alicia Perkins is an Executive Positioning Strategist, founder of The Positioning House, and author of The Executive Read.
Her background in executive recruiting and talent development informs how she examines a candidacy: the responsibilities an organization needs someone to assume, the evidence a candidate brings, and how that evidence is understood during the selection process.
In private advisory, she helps senior leaders examine their experience closely, establish a credible positioning strategy, and communicate their leadership with greater precision.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have an interview scheduled?
You can begin while preparing to search. We establish your target roles, positioning, and leadership narrative so you have a consistent foundation for approaching opportunities.
If you’re already interviewing, we apply the work to the role and conversations ahead.
Does this include job search strategy?
Yes. We address which opportunities to pursue, how to position yourself for them, and how to approach conversations with recruiters and your professional network. You carry out the search, outreach, and applications.
Will you write my résumé and LinkedIn profile?
The engagement includes a review of both, with specific recommendations to align them with your positioning. Full résumé and LinkedIn writing are outside the standard scope and can be added at an additional cost.
What happens during interview preparation?
We work through questions relevant to your target role and examine how your answers communicate your experience, decisions, and readiness. You receive direct feedback and practice revising the areas that need work.
For an active opportunity, preparation incorporates the job description, available company information, and what you have learned during the process.
How long is the engagement?
This is a defined engagement with an agreed scope, session schedule, and completion date. Those details are confirmed before you begin. If you have an upcoming interview, include the date in your inquiry so we can assess availability.
Can I bring a broader career or leadership question?
Yes. If your situation requires a different scope, Alicia may recommend an engagement through Executive Leadership Positioning.
